Welcome to our new Neighbourhood Programme Lead

Last month, we welcomed our new Neighbourhood Programme Lead, Emily Margo.

Emily will oversee delivery and development of our Sussex-wide neighbourhood mediation and conflict coaching programme. It’s a service that supports individuals, neighbours and communities experiencing conflict, helping people to communicate more effectively, understand different perspectives and find constructive ways forward.

She’ll be working closely with our CEO and managing a team of skilled Neighbourhood Case Coordinators, ensuring our service delivers effective conflict resolution support for our users and that it can evolve to meet changing community needs.

She has a background leading large-scale transformation programmes, having worked across the private sector and with the NHS and central UK Government. Much of her work has focussed on helping leaders to navigate change, communicate strategy and build strong working relationships. She is trained in mediation, coaching and dialogue facilitation and joined Mediation Plus earlier this year as a volunteer.

Emily joins us at an important time for our neighbourhood programme. Following our recent merger, our previously separate teams and services are coming together to provide a more joined-up Sussex-wide service. Emily will play a key role in continuing this work and helping us to develop consistent ways of working, while retaining the local knowledge and relationships that are so important to effective community mediation.

Emily is looking forward to getting to know our staff and volunteers, building relationships with commissioners and referral partners and exploring opportunities to strengthen and develop our neighbourhood services across Sussex.

If you would like to know more about neighbourhood mediation and conflict coaching, including how the service can support people experiencing neighbour or community conflict, please visit our programme page or get in touch with the team.
